It is 10 days into this challenge and it's been an amazing journey so far! I know we all have our reasons for getting into this challenge and I hope you are feeling glad you did! I really needed to live a healthier lifestyle and this challenge has been just the catalyst for me to make necessary changes. My stress levels have reduced tremendously, I feel renewed and rejuvenated and my outlook is so much more positive and happy. I have more energy. I have been sleeping well. I feel healthier. What more can I ask for?
I have lost 7 pounds of real weight. I need to get my measurements so I know how many inches, but I should have gone a size smaller on those new workout pants I bought. I have learned, I love Yoga even if I am really not flexible and I am certain I will never be able to flip my bird! But beware, I am going to go to those yoga and hot yoga classes anyway, so if you see me in one of them, no judgement please. I love swimming. I have been swimming every day except Saturday and Sunday since the challenge started. Swimming has always been my therapy. I have not done much of it since I moved to St. George so I am thrilled to be back in the pool and swimming outside in the sunshine is like an extra bonus. The Healthy Posture class from day one gave me pain free joints. I am so excited at the possibility that I can actually do something about my joint pain besides medication. I have no hesitation going to all these new classes and trying new things because my faithful workout buddy and I go together. I don't know why it is less intimidating, but I am so grateful for my workout buddy! She keeps me going even when I am sore and tired and after we work out, I ALWAYS feel better! Thank you MaryAnn!
This first 10 days has not been without its challenges. There have been many opportunities to eat things that make my body hurt but I have passed on most of them. The weekends, I am finding are my really tough times. I had visitors on Saturday who had dinner with us and Sunday was Easter then this week we have been on vacation and I have found it hard to pass on cheesy potatoes, chocolate cream pie and Black Forrest cake but I am strengthening my resolve and getting back in the saddle. I am attending Extreme Barre today and am going to keep trying more of those awesome Summit classes.
I cannot tell you how happy I am that I was able to get a team together and join this challenge! It was so last minute and we really did sneak in under the wire. This has been the very best thing I have done in a long time and I am in this for the long haul. It has been so fun to see everybody get so excited and talk about all the great things we are doing. It has given us something fun and positive to talk about and the energy in the Zumba class has tripled, I think! You know, the positive energy at work has triple too! The challenge is 1/3 over today, and I am sure it will be done before we know it, but I have already gained more from it than I ever expected. Thank you for joining our team! I plan to make this week better than the last, and the last was pretty darn good!

It's the big weigh-in, but don't be afraid! Remember muscle changes your weight, water changes it, hormones, time of day, stress, lots of things! A big change means you did great, a little change means you did great, no change means you did great! As long as you are trying you are doing GREAT!
Happy Wednesday Weigh-In!

Daily accountability
Hello all...here is something I do on my clean eating challenge on facebook. We post what we do/eat for the day. :) even post pics. So, I will be the first.
Breakfast was a chocolate protein shake. For snacks I have tropical trail mix, turkey and swiss with whole grain crackers. For lunch I had 2 boiled eggs, 1 cup of sugar snap peas, 2 mandarine oranges, and 1/4 cup of frog eye salad from easter dinner. Dinner is still undecided, but probably a homemade chef salad with ham, tomatoes, peppers, and light poppyseed dressing. For exercise I will be going to hot yoga and zumba.

ZUMBA!
Last Thursday night at the Sunset Summit the lady in pink, Connie, asked to take a picture with all of us. She said we are the nicest, most fun team she's ever met and she hopes we win! Haha! Thanks Rachelle for the picture!
